Improving the home buying and selling process

This cross-party inquiry of the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Committee  examined the transaction process, the information available to buyers, and the role of conveyancers and estate agents.

The 成人头条response noted the many efforts in this arena to improve the process, but it stubbornly remains cumbersome, stressful, and ineffective for many consumers. Improving the process has been extremely difficult because it takes the cooperation and coordination of a wide variety of stakeholders, including buyers, sellers, estate agents, mortgage brokers, conveyancers, valuers/surveyors, mortgage lenders, local authorities, and His Majesty’s Land Registry. Some of these have vested interests in perpetuating a dysfunctional system. Our members thus support the Committee’s inquiry and any efforts to make this process better for consumers.
