Debbie Enever to join the Building Societies Association as Head of External Affairs

Debbie will join the organisation on 1 September 2023. 

Debbie EneverThe Building Societies Association is pleased to announce that Debbie Enever has been appointed Head of External Affairs, and will join the organisation on 1 September 2023. Debbie succeeds Hilary McVitty, who held the role for 12 years until her recent retirement.

Debbie has over twenty years of experience in policy, stakeholder engagement and communications roles, most recently as Head of External Relations for the Financial Ombudsman Service, spending the last nine months on secondment to the Financial Conduct Authority. Previously Debbie worked in Westminster for the Liberal Democrat Party.

The Head of External Affairs role will see Debbie champion the BSA’s members and wider financial mutuals as a key part of the UK’s current and future financial services sector.
